Superpower (2008)
Director: Barbara-Anne Steegmuller
Runtime: 119 min
A documentary about U.S. foreign policy, the position of the USA in the World, the journey it made to arrive at global hegemony and the mechanisms by which this position is maintained. This film is full of information, not overcrowded, but very carefully crafted to successfully cover numerous topics that are individually engaged in numerous other documentaries (9/11, The War on Terror, the invasion of Iraq, U.S. imperialism in Latin America and other parts of the World, the growth of state control and curbing of human rights and freedoms etc.) Basically, this is a sum of many modern critiques of the U.S., packed in devastating two hours.
